SRMJEEE 2015: 1.75 lakh candidates registered to appear for the exam

One of the top universities in India, SRM University, Chennai is conducting engineering entrance examination for admission to engineering / technology courses for the academic year 2015-16.

Around 1.75 lakh candidates are expected to appear for the SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination (SRMJEEE) 2015 across India in 102 locations.

Out of 1.75 lakh, around 22.7% of students are from North-East region and 15.2% of students are from Western and Eastern regions.

The online exam (computer based examination) has already started exam from April 19 to 22, 2015 with two sessions per day.

The paper based exam would be held on April 26, 2015.

As per the official website of SRM University, the founder Chancellor said that “the student is at the centre of every development at the university. The hugely popular Semester Abroad Programme which delights students with an international programme while still an undergraduate student enables around 200 of the brightest minds to go to some of the leading lights in the world, like MIT, Harvard, Carnegie, Cornell, Warwick, RMT and NUS. "

  • The exam paper will have around 140 questions of multiple choice questions.
  • The duration of the examination is 2 hours 30 minutes.
  • There would be 4 sections (Physics-35, Mathematics-35, Chemistry-35, Biology-35).
  • There would be 3 marks for each right answers and -1 (negative) mark for each wrong answer.
