Indian B-Schools are most preferred destination to pursue MBA

In recent times pursuing MBA after graduation is most preferred by the students across India. Most of the students who are pursuing MBA in Indian B-Schools are from technical background.

According to the survey done by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), which is the conducting body for GMAT (Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT) for admission to business and management program across the world, says that Indian is among the top 5 destination for pursuing MBA in its B-Schools.

However, the survey reveals that, in the process of selecting the B-Schools. The students would check quality of faculty, job placement, program type and fee structure. Most of the students would not consider the rankings of the B-Schools.

The GMAC said that India is ahead of countries like Hong Kong, Germany, Singapore, Netherlands and Australia for MBA.

The number of students seeking to study outside the country has been increased from 40% to 52% in 2010 to 2014.

Meanwhile, the students seeking courses in US has been decreased from 73% to 66% in 2014.

The top 10 preferred destinations are US, UK, Canada, France, India, Hong Kong, Germany, Singapore, Netherlands and Australia.

As per the survey, around 52% of the students prefer to pursue MBA program globally. And 65% of prospective students pursue graduate management education to increase their job opportunities.
