Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Medical College, Bangalore was established in 1981 by Anandaa Social and Education Trust. The institute salutes Gautama The Buddha, ocean of compassion and BharathaRathnaDr.B.R.Ambedkar Father of the Indian Constitution.

The college is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Bangalore and approved by Medical Council of India (MCI), New Delhi.

Campus:

The college is spread over 25 acre of land with all state-of-art infrastructure facilities.The elegant and imposing college building with its beautiful architectural design attracts the attention of all visitors.

The college has the attached hospital with 780 beds for students training. The college campus also contains college of Nursing, Institute of Physiotherapy, Paramedical Courses, and the Gents and Ladies Hostels, Staff quarters, Cafeteria, Pharmacy, Central Lab, Animal House, ATM and post-mortem block.

Admission Procedure:

  • The 40% of the seats reserved for Karnataka students. The selection of students is on the basis of merit in the common entrance test conducted by Govt of Karnataka followed by centralised counseling.
  • The 40% of the seats are reserved for any India National including Karnataka. The selection is on the basis of merit in the common entrance test conducted by consortium of Medical, Dental and Engineering Private colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) followed by centralised counseling.
  • Remaining 20% of the seats are to be filled by the Management, of which 15% is for Foreign Nationals/NRI and 5% for Institutional preference quota .
