AP Private Medical Colleges to conduct separate EAMCET for MBBS, BDS

The Andhra Pradesh private medical colleges is all set to conduct separate EAMCET entrance exam for admission to MBBS, BDS courses in private medical and dental colleges across the state.

The separate EAMCET exam would be held on May 24, 2015 for ‘B’ category (management quota) seats.

The Andhra Pradesh Health Minister KamineniSrinivas said management quota seats comprise about 35% of the total medical seats and stressed the step was taken after due consultations with all the stakeholders. Around 700 seats will be filled through this separate EAMCET exam.

He also said, “There will be no change in the fee structure. These colleges have to collect the fee fixed by the state government”.

KamineniSrinivassaid, “Separate entrance exam for ‘B’ category seats will help college managements not only fill the seats in a transparent manner but also in admitting merit students”.
